Jiang Desheng is the chief professor of Wuhan University of Technology, the member of Chinese Academy of Engineering, the optical fiber sensing technology committee and Industry Alliance Chairman of Chinese Society for Optical Engineering, and the fellow of Chinese Materials Research Society. He has been worked in the fields of the fiber optic sensing(FOS) technology for over 30 years researching and developing a serial of innovative achievements including FOS sensitive materials preparation, optical fiber sensors precision processing, key technologies and equipment for industrial production. He founded only National Engineering Laboratory in FOS technology breaking the technical blockade abroad and forming a complete set of production technologies and equipment with China's independent intellectual property rights, which has provided a new generation of sensor technology that is urgently needed for many industries, major projects and military industries in China. He has won more than ten items of national and provincial scientific and technological awards, who founded WUTOS that has become the only listed company in the field of FOS in China.
