Jianqiu Wang

Jianqiu Wang is Professor at Key Laboratory of Nuclear Material and Safety Assessment, Institute of Metal Research (IMR), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). She obtained her BSc in Semiconductor Physics from Xi’an Jiaotong University in 1989, Master Degree in Material Physics from IMR, CAS in 1992 and Ph.D in Corrosion and Protection in Institute of Corrosion and Protection of Metals, CAS in 1995. After a stay at the Institute as an assistant professor, Jianqiu started her research in University of Queensland as a Visiting Scholar from 1996-1998 and Research Scientist from 2000-2003. Then she accepted the support of “Hundred Talent Project” from CAS and served as full professor and group leader of Environmental assisted cracking in IMR, CAS from 2003 till present. She serves as deputy head of Key Lab of Nuclear Material and Safety Assessment, CAS from 2014.

Jianqiu has published more than 200 papers with a total of over 400 citations. She has presented over 10 keynote or invited talks at international meetings and conferences. She has 7 invention patents. In 2010 she was awarded “The National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars”. Her current research interests include corrosion and stress corrosion cracking of key structural materials.
