Qing Jiang is Professor of the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Jilin University and Director of the Key Laboratory of Automobile Materials, Ministry of Education, China. He obtained his BSc and MSc in Materials Science from Jilin University of Technology (combined into Jilin University in 2000) in 1982 and 1984, respectively, and PhD in Chemistry from University of Stuttgart, Germany in 1990. After working at Technical University of Berlin for two years as a Postdoctoral Fellow, Qing joined Jilin University of Technology as a professor in 1992. In 2001, Qing was awarded as the Chueng Kong Scholar Professor.
Qing is a Fellow of The Institute of Physics (U.K.) and a member of the editorial board of Scientific Reports, and advisory boards of Current Nanoscience, The Open Nanoscience Journal, and Recent Patents on Nanotechnology.
Qing has published more than 400 papers with a total of over 8,000 citations with H-index=47. He has presented over 50 keynote or invited talks at international conferences. His current research interests include phase transition and interface thermodynamics and kinetics of nanomaterials, adsorption and reaction thermodynamics on materials surfaces with utility on energy materials, and electronic structures of semiconductors and bandgap controls.
