Yi Xie

Yi Xie is the full professor of Hefei National Laboratory for Physical Sciences at Microscale, University of Science & Technology of China (USTC). She obtained her BSc in Chemistry from the Xiamen University in 1988 and PhD in Physics from USTC in 1996. She started her independent research career at USTC after she was awarded the National Natural Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 1998.

Xie is a academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. Her outstanding research endow her some prestigious awards including L'Oréal-UNESCO for Women in Science Awards (2015), TWAS Prize in Chemistry (2014), IUPAC Distinguished Women in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering (2013), China Young Scientists Award (2002), China Young Women in Science Fellowship (2006), and National Prize for Natural Sciences (second class, 2001 and 2012).

She has published more than 300 scientific papers in international journals, including more than 60 in top journals such as Nature Commun., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Adv. Mater. and Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. as the corresponding author. Her publications have been extensively cited by more than 13458 times with an H index of 64. She has been invited to contribute 13 review or perspective articles for top international journals, and 5 monographs for 4 books.
