Wei Ke

Prof. Wei Ke had worked on superalloys development and their strength for many years. In recent years, he changed his interests into the field of the environment sensitive failure and the corrosion fatigue. He set up a new model to describe the creep-fatigue interaction and proposed a new concept that fatigue prestrain induced cavity formation accelerates creep rate in superalloys. The model can be used in lifetime assessment of materials. Now he focuses his attention on the theory of interaction between localized corrosion and strain at crack tip, and has made progress in the fields of environmental sensitive fracture, corrosion resistant alloys and failure analysis.
