Prof. Pandey has demonstrated over his 20 years of professional experience an unwavering commitment and passion toward facility development / technology development in nanosciences and the application of these technologies toward commercial success. His work involves theory, method development, and modeling of photonic, and nanoenergetic materials; theory and experimental studies of functional nanomaterials (organic nanostructures, carbon nanotubes, semiconductor quantum dots) and nano-bio interface for molecular nanoelectronics and sensors applications besides understanding the effect of oceanic system memory having implications for weather, climate, and cryosphere. He is widely recognized for his pioneering work and innovations in experimental techniques for nano structuring and analysis of specific materials for next generation biocompatible optoelectronic smart materials and notable contributions to the basic understanding of quantum confined atoms. Dr. Pandey has filed more than 20 patents and has published more than 300 papers with citation 5200 and H factor = 37. Currently, he is the Director of Inter University Accelerator Centre and has worked as Director, Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies, University of Allahabad [2016-2018], Vice Chancellor, Bundelkhand University, Jhansi [2012-2015], Professor at K Banerjee Centre of Atmospheric & Ocean Studies & M N Saha Center of Space Studies at University of Allahabad and as an Associate of ICTP, Trieste, Italy (2004- 2009). He is also an Adjunct Professor at Michigan Tech, USA. His significant contributions in the area of nanoparticulate materials and their functional fortification includes improvising the design methods for making efficient nanophosphor and nanoparticles, utilizing phenomenon of quantum confinement further in device fabrication with nanodimensions and in biomedical applications, encouraging entrepreneurship for marketing of nanophosphor products and creating new connections with other institutes globally to promote the science of nanotechnology. He has promoted the growth of user facility and capacity building in front ranking areas by developing state-of-the-art facilities.
