Professor N.F. Uvarov is well-known specialist in solid state electrochemistry. His current research interests include development of solid electrolytes, investigation of the mechanism of ionic transport in solid electrolytes, design, fabrication, characterization, and application of nanocomposite materials based on solid ionic conductors, investigation of solid-state electrochemical devices including fuel cells, sensors, supercapacitors.
Professor N.F. Uvarov is Editorial Board member of Russian Journal of Electrochemistry, Solid State Ionics (special issues) and Herald of Novosibirsk State Technical University. He is the Head of the Novosibirsk Regional Department of the Nanotechnology Society of Russia, expert in the Russian Scientific Fund, Russian Fund for Basic Research and other organizations. He is the recipient of the Russia-Belarus Award for Scientific Achievements, Several Awards of Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
In parallel with scientific research Professor N.F. Uvarov is actively involved in educational work. He is a Professor at Novosibirsk State University and Novosibirsk State Technical University, where he reads courses in solid state chemistry, materials for electrochemical energy and materials science and nanotechnology.
