In recent years, the main emphasis in my laboratory research is related to the creation of a method for the growth of single crystals and films of novel semiconductor material organic-inorganic perovskite CH3NH3PbI3 (methylammonium lead iodide). Owing to a combination of unique physical properties this material finds application in the design of thin-film solar cells, light-emitting devices, X-ray and γ radiation sensors. The structural and optical properties of the obtained crystals and films are studied. The phase transitions in synthesized crystals have been studied by methods of photoluminescence and X-ray diffraction analysis in a wide temperature range.
