The main scientific results of Fedin V.P .:

- developed methods for the directed synthesis and diagnostics of giant molecular complexes containing dozens of metal atoms and having nano-dimensions;

- the supramolecular compounds were studied on the basis of the macrocyclic cavitands of cucurbiturils and it was experimentally proved that the directed design of highly ordered supramolecular systems with a given structure and properties is possible from nanoscale building fragments capable of highly specific controlled intermolecular interaction;

- stable nanoporous metal-organic coordination polymers and molecular containers, which are a new class of materials for the storage and fine purification of gases, nanoreactors for catalytic transformations;

- unique homochiral coordination polymers have been developed, which are used to separate chiral organic molecules.
